A poster presentation usually includes two Elements • A poster • A brief verbal explanation of the poster content or topic Your poster will generally be placed alongside other student posters on a wall or on online platform, where audience members can view it. In some poster presentations, you may also have an opportunity to answer questions from the audience. To be successful, make sure you develop your poster content carefully, design the poster to engage and inform your viewer and present your ideas effectively. An effective poster will tell a unified story. All the parts of the poster need to be logically connected to each other and there needs to be a congruence between the content of the poster, including text and visuals. Consider whether your poster requires a persuasive and critical argument, or if a more neutral presentation of information is expected for your poster narrative.
